The premier Nuba restaurant was inspired by an independent and modern Beirut during the 1940′s. At the time, it was an intellectual and cultural Mecca considered the Paris of the Middle East. Nuba in Gastown has a 60+ seat capacity and a 36-foot bar. During lunch we offer the same menu that made us famous for fresh and flavourful food. After 5pm the lights dim and Nuba’s nightly adventures begin with an evening menu that captures the traditional Lebanese style of sharing with new and innovative dishes.

Unchecked by fashion, Nuba in Kitsilano is a Lebanese taverna, like one might have visited back in the days before the civil war, somewhere along Lebanon’s stretch of Mediterranean coastline. The cavernous complexity of the restaurant’s interior unfolds over multiple levels through small, low-ceilinged nooks, and up and down numerous staircases. These enigmatic rooms open out around an expansive glass-covered courtyard inhabited with plants and benches.
