She'll teach you how to make the most unique and beautiful ornaments using Japanese chiyomgami paper, vintage images, old book pages, and rubber stamps using her own unique style. Add a little ribbon, glitter glue, and gold pen and you'll have the most spectacular ornaments on the block! Brunch and Music with Shamik on Sunday, November 8

 Join us Sunday, November 8 as Nuba rolls out their new brunch menu at their Kitsilano location. In addition to great food, the event will feature music selections and performance courtesy of Shamik — a world class DJ, producer, and beatboxer.   Much like Nuba's lunch and dinner menus, the brunch menu features Lebanese cuisine in harmony and rhythm with modern times. There are ample options to accommodate all dietary restrictions and all the meats are halal, non-medicated, and hormone free.  Greek Day is coming up on Sunday, June 28 and our Kitsilano location will be busting out the grill. The annual, family-friendly event, which consistently attracts crowds of over 100,000, takes place along Broadway, from MacDonald to Blenheim Street. Bedouin Cabaret - Every Thursday at Nuba in Kits

 Join us every Thursday for Bedouin Cabaret, a celebration of Middle Eastern Music, Food, and Dance with Juno Award-winning musician Gordon Grdina and contemporary bellydance troupe Luciterra.   Since the closure of the beloved Jazz Cellar earlier this year, Kitsilano has been sorely in need of a space where music lovers in the neighbourhood can come together. This all changes on Thursday, May 22 when Nuba in Kitsilano launches Bedouin Cabaret, an event series featuring world class music and dance coupled with outstanding food and drinks.   Attendees will be treated to performances by jazz and world music virtuoso Gordon Grdina. Grdina’s name is no stranger to music lovers, this Juno Award-winning player, in addition to being a longstanding member of the Dan Mangan band, is the leading force behind Arabic classical music ensembles the Gordon Grdina Trio, Box Cutter, Sangha, and Haram.   Joining Grdina in the festivities is the Luciterra Fusion Bellydance company. A favourite at music events and festivals in Vancouver and beyond, this foursome has been lauded for their powerful, dynamic performances, which put a contemporary twist on traditional Middle Eastern bellydance. Luciterra have shared the stage with local world fusion favourites like Zaki Ibrahim and Delhi to Dublin as well as renowned international acts like Beats Antique.   Expect world class music and dance complemented by outstanding food and drink at what is sure to be a memorable evening at Nuba’s Lebanese taverna in the heart of Kitsilano.   Performances start at 8pm will be happening till 11:00pm.

 Starting Tuesday, April 1, Nuba in Kits is introducing The Parents and Little Ones Lunch. Every Tuesday, between 11:30 and 3:30, we're encouraging parents to bring their youngsters by as we'll have a kids menu and arts and crafts ready to keep them occupied. Nuba Restaurants, in partnership with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Canadian Music Centre BC Region, is pleased to announce the debut performance of Kitsilano's newest concert series. Enjoy delicious and healthy Lebanese cuisine with Nuba's unique signature brunch menu while savouring the sounds of strings with Mary Sokol Brown and Rebecca Wenham, two of Canada's premiere chamber players. They'll present favourite classical pieces for string trio by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and others, as well as newly-composed works by local Vancouver composers Marcus Goddard and Jordan Nobles. A delight for the senses!  

About Mary Sokol Brown and Mary Sokol Brown Based in Vancouver, BC, Mary Sokol Brown (violin) and Mary Sokol Brown (cello) are members of Trio Accord and are ardent, enthusiastic proponents of chamber music.  As performers, they offer unique insights about the music they play, enriching the concert experience for their listeners.
