The 25th annual edition of the Dancing on the Edge Festival begins on Thursday, July 4 and runs until Saturday, July 13. For 2013, the festival will be presenting dancers from across Canada at multiple venues like the Firehall Arts Centre, Portside Park, the Chinatown Night Market, and the Scotiabank Dance Centre. Highlights include Bamboozled, a Vaudeville-inspired exploration of the commodification of persona; Dusk Dances, a series of perfromances which will be taking place at sunset in Crab Park; and 25 Gestures for Dancing on the Edge, where, for 10 days, a series of 25-minute performances will take place at the Steam Clock in Gastown when it strikes noon. Don't miss this festival of contemporary dance which has consistently brought the world's brightest and edgiest talent to the streets and stages of Vancouver.
